Who What Why

An editorial platform for a brand with something to say

Editorial Direction • Brand Voice • Content Strategy • Art Direction

As CMO and Editor-in-Chief, I built an editorial platform from the ground up — voice, visual system, contributor network and a publishing cadence a small team could sustain. The goal was authority.

The Challenge

The brand had opinions but no format. Content was inconsistent in tone, design and frequency, which made it impossible to build a reading habit. A credible editorial product needed a point of view, a repeatable structure and a look that held up next to established publications.

Our Approach

Owned the editorial line and the visual identity together — commissioning, editing and art directing every issue while building the systems that let the team publish on schedule.

Editorial Voice

Defined tone, standards and the kinds of stories the platform would and would not run.

Design System

A typographic grid and photographic style that made every issue recognizable.

Contributor Network

Recruited writers, photographers and illustrators, and briefed them consistently.

Brand in Action

The system extended past the page into events, social storytelling and partner collaborations — each one reinforcing the same voice rather than inventing a new one.

Impact

The platform gave the brand something rare: a voice people came back for. It remains the clearest example of how editorial discipline compounds into brand authority.
