One collection. One distinct point of view. For Ralph Lauren's Fall 2015 collection, the challenge was translating the season's fashion narrative into a cohesive retail experience, connecting product, styling, floor presentations and windows through a unified visual language.

01

The Collection

Each season began with the runway: silhouette, palette, fabrication and the broader lifestyle narrative. For RTW Fall 2015, Ralph Lauren explored a refined vision of the American West, pairing rustic references with a sense of modern luxury. Layered knits, shearling, natural textures and a restrained palette established the visual language of the collection. These cues became the starting point for translating the collection from runway to retail environment.

“The idea was to make texture — sweaters, shearling — luxurious.” — Ralph Lauren

Building the World

The collection expanded into a broader visual vocabulary — texture, material, objects, landscape and lifestyle imagery. These elements established the emotional character of the environment and provided a shared creative language for merchandising, styling and presentation.

Turning Inspiration into a System

The creative direction is translated into practical principles for the selling floor: mannequin composition, layering, product relationships, sightlines and focal moments. Each environment is considered as a complete composition, creating rhythm and visual hierarchy throughout the customer journey.

The Strategy, Realized

The resulting environments bring the seasonal story into three dimensions, combining fashion, home, accessories and natural materials into a cohesive expression of the Ralph Lauren lifestyle.

The Window as Storytelling

The seasonal story extended beyond the selling floor into the windows, where product, props, lighting and architectural details were composed as a single visual narrative. For Holiday / Winter 2016, heritage materials, winter botanicals and sculptural elements transformed the storefront into an atmospheric expression of the season, creating a distinct moment while remaining unmistakably Ralph Lauren.

Creative Leadership at Scale

Creative direction wasn't about making every store identical. It was about creating a strong enough visual system that the brand remained recognizable wherever and however it was expressed.
